Picturesque Powhatan County is located 30 miles west of Richmond and 60 miles east of Charlottesville. With its proximity to Richmond and Charlottesville, this rural community is centrally located to a variety of events, activities, restaurants, and recreation while still maintaining its small town charm.

The James River runs in the northern part of the county and several lakes are located throughout the county.  The availability of these bodies of water ensure hours of fun kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing and boating.
